Conquering an (almost) vertical slope with pure muscle power is a special challenge – and a very special experience. The Steinerne Meer around the Hotel Gut Brandlhof offers “mountain enthusiasts” countless via ferratas, gorges, caves and peaks.

For a change, to prepare and to get started, we recommend a trip to the Leoganger Steinberge. If the two climbing gyms and the high ropes course in and around Saalfelden-Leogang are too small for you, you will find 120 climbing routes here. The Steinberge, which also includes the Loferer Steinberge and the Steinplatte Waidring, offer a total of over 1000 different routes. Climbers’ hearts, what more could you want?

Your feet on the pedals, your lungs full of fresh mountain air, your gaze sweeping over the impressive Alpine panorama: cycling and mountain biking in the surroundings of the Hotel Gut Brandlhof is always an experience. Around 480 km in the valley and 720 mountain bike kilometres are just waiting to be explored by you.

In the immediate vicinity you will find suitable routes for a relaxed cycle tour with the family or ambitious alpine adventures. Numerous routes such as the Pinzgau Tauern cycle path start directly from the hotel for ambitious or relaxed tours. The Epic Bikepark Leogang offers world-class lines and is the purest amusement park for demanding MTB riders. We are also happy to advise you on road bike tours.

Lakes, streams, and rivers near the hotel offer fishing opportunities. Hotel guests and external visitors (only with a Salzburg State Fishing Permit) can purchase a day fishing permit at the hotel reception. The price for anglers with the Salzburg State Fishing Permit is € 30, while for guests without the Salzburg State Fishing Permit, the price is € 37. Please note that non-hotel guests must present their Salzburg State Fishing Permit when purchasing the fishing permit.

Our hunting bow course in the middle of sparse coniferous and deciduous forests is a very special experience. The aiming and draw-release technique required for the 3D course is learnt and practised with the help of a professional at the shooting stand on targets and animal replicas. Then it’s off to our own course, where the archers search for and “shoot” around 20 targets on the soft forest floor.
