The region of Saalfelden / Leogang has developed into a real stronghold of Nordic winter sports in Austria. Enjoy 150 kilometres of cross-country ski runs, which are marked out daily and suit all requirements and styles. Take a chance on a ski jump or try out a biathlon.
Cross-country skiing is an experience of pure nature. You glide smoothly, almost meditatively through the snow-covered winter landscape, exercising your body extensively at the same time.
Whichever of the two cross-country ski styles you prefer, we are well "prepared" for one of the most popular sports of our guests here at the Brandlhof. The gateway into the 150 kilometre, central and free-to-use cross-country ski run network, which connects Saalfelden and Leogang, is right next to the hotel. Connecting cross-country ski runs provide a link to neighbouring resorts, while the World Cup cross-country ski runs at Lake Ritzensee will put beads of sweat on your forehead.
You can obtain information about the different cross-country ski runs, their difficulty levels and the hiring of cross-country ski equipment at the reception of the 4-star superior Hotel Brandlhof in Saalfelden on the Steinernes Meer plateau.
Biathlons have become extremely popular in the past few years. Lots of people are interested in this sport and want to try it out for themselves.
