Geisler Outdoor School
Our partner for sports programmes is the Geisler Sports School, which operates the exclusive Challenge Zone right next to the hotel, along with other activities. The Geisler Outdoor School also offers team trophies, mountain bike tours, rafting, canyoning and much more.
You will come across a wide range of situations in our obstacle course. You can leave behind well-trodden paths and have an unforgettable experience. At the end, you will have enjoyed mastering a new challenge and be justifiably delighted with your own performance. You can do it – being able to go as far and as high as you want and saying NO when you want to! With exercises at ground level, we will slowly get you used to the height and gradually move upwards. Every participant will decide for themselves how far and how high they want to go.
All programmes are accompanied, safeguarded and moderated by the outdoor trainers.
The programme and its content can be tailored to your exact requirements. Participants will be sensitised through exercises at ground level and will be slowly introduced to the high elements. This allows participants to discover their capabilities and have the time they need.
Half-day programmes last approx. 3-4 hours (morning or afternoon).
We can do a lot in this time. Themes / objectives / content can be entered into more deliberately and intensively. It is not the number of exercises that is important. It is more the time allowed for each participant's individual experience! More time – More discovery!
Whole-day programmes last approx. 6 hours.
The target-pull release technology needed for the 3D course is taught and practised with the support of a professional at the shooting stand using discs and 3D animals. Then, we head to our very own course, surrounded by the backdrop of the Steinberg Mountains and embedded in the light coniferous and deciduous forests. Rippling mountain streams accompany the archers over the soft forest floors to approx. 20 targets.
There are no particular physical requirements needed to take part. There is a special points system for anyone who wants to know their exact shooting score.
The course, including shooting, takes about 2.5 hours, depending on the length of the course and the archer's accuracy. Support by the outdoor team at Geisler.
Possible with 2 or more participants.
Ms. Anna Oja and Mr. Rudi Geisler will work with you to create an individual and varied programme for you.
Within a few kilometres, you will find access points to lots of beautiful mountain hikes and tours – ranging from simple through to demanding mountains.

The "Pinzgau Tauern Cycle Path" runs directly past our hotel – towards the north, you can head to Lofer (past the natural monuments of Seisenbergklamm Gorge and Vorderkaserklamm Gorge) and onwards past Bad Reichenhall to Salzburg – and towards the south, you can reach Saalfelden, continuing to Zell am See, from where you can either travel to Krimml or via Schwarzach to Salzburg. You can also take advantage of many other small and larger cycle paths in our surrounding area. The hotel has 10 bikes which can be hired out at no charge.
For many years, our hotel has been famous for its incomparable 18-hole golf course, located directly on the hotel's grounds. The flat and attractively landscaped course follows the course of the Saalach River, which golfers cross several times. The course is a challenge for any golfing ability and is extremely fair. As hotel guests, you can enjoy a 50% discount of the green fee price, playing for €37.50 per person (discount already applied). We are happy to help you reserve an appropriate tee-off time.
