“A weekend in February 2006, Birgit Maier and Alexander Strobl are your
hosts for the 2nd Ice Drift Challenge. Everything is prepared, your
backpack is full of confidence, your ambition has been awakened.
Stupid, that the weather has to be so bad just for this event - it’s
too warm, everything falls into the water, literally. Of course, you
could play tennis, or go horseback riding, even do a bit of wellness,
but suddenly Mr. Strobl is standing in the doorway next to me
suggesting an excursion to the neighbouring gravel pit. To go jogging?
I ask. It turns out that he means something altogether different...
